As we come to the end of another academic year, PCT Education has been recognised as one of the Top 1% of Pol Ed schools across Suffolk for engagement during the 2025/26 academic year. The recognition reflects staff commitment to high quality PSHE, safeguarding and prevention education, making full use of lessons, assemblies, passports and wider resources to help young people stay safe, healthy and informed.
A full term including Horstead Outdoor Activities Centre, the Year 9 overnight residential, Framlingham Castle, Sequentis developments and more.
For many students this was their first overnight stay away from the family home. They completed outdoor activities, engaged brilliantly and were praised by the Horstead Centre for their behaviour and participation.
Students experienced canoeing, the vertical challenge and crate stack at Horstead, supported one another and pushed themselves to try new things.
Students from both sites dressed up, danced and took part in themed activities, while the science lab explored some gruesome practicals.
Classes visited pumpkin patches during outdoor education and students worked together to prepare Halloween décor.
Students embedded what they had been learning in History through an enjoyable learning outside the classroom experience.
Both U14 and U16 students showed great team spirit and perseverance at the first football tournament of the year, with the U16s finishing second.
Both schools and families joined to celebrate learner achievements, student music performances, enterprise stalls, creativity and community.
Students from both sites competed in sporting events, joined in or cheered from the sidelines during a fun summer day.
PCT Education entered the Norfolk Show gardening competition with a Harry Potter theme. Students contributed across the project and the team won the People's Choice Award 2025.
Year 11 students travelled near Essaouira, trying surfing, horse riding, quad biking, new foods and exploring the medina. They showed resilience and created lifelong memories.
